You can donate to this cause (tax deductible) by calling the above-mentioned information telephone number. We are attempting what communities need children fed over summer vacation. As we determine the need we shall identify the project and raise funds for same. DID YOU KNOW THAT DIABETES IS A MAJOR CAUSE FOR AMPUTATION OF LIMBS for both children and adults in this country? That wasn't always the case for children. However nowadays parents need to be more vigilent in what the kids eat. Remember, that if family members have had diabetes you are at high risk of becomming diabetic. Be informed! Protect yourself.... only YOU can do it. Also, remember that children are contracting diabetes in families where diabetes has no history. What does that mean? Parents are not feeding their children correctly. Perhaps, parents are feeding them junk food instead of healthy food. While trying to make the kids enjoy eating more they may be leading them down a road that may lead to limb amputation and premature death. For more information about diabetes, its sypmtoms, care and avoiding health problems through proper care contact your primary care physcian and let him refer aqualified practitioner to guide you.
Obesity in Children: This research project was launched several yers ago. It is designed to identify helpful solutions and methods to eliminate diabetes in occurring in obese children. Adapting will develop educational programs to help educate parents and their families about the high risk of diabetes for those people with unhealthy eating habits. Diabetes if undetected will eventually lead to blindness and or amputation of limbs, kidney failure and premature death. Today diabetes is occurring in youth in epidemic proportions and needs to be effectively addressed. Successful correction programs need to be identified and implemented to overcome this disastrous national epidemic. All of the above programs require your support to be successful. You can be proud to help and serve on our committees as well as donate to the various projects.
